Buildster Inc. ("Buildster", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Buildster website and Buildster mobile application (collectively, the "Service").

When you create or use a Buildster account, or when an account is created for you by an authorized organization or project administrator, we may collect information such as:

Project and User-Generated Content
Buildster is a collaborative platform for managing construction projects. When you use the Service, you may provide, create, upload, or share information associated with projects, including:
- construction drawings, plans, and other documents;
- photographs and images;
- project notes, comments, and messages;
- inspection and project records;
- annotations, pins, and other information associated with plans or projects; and
- other files, records, or content submitted through the Service.
Some of this information may contain personal information depending on the content uploaded by users.
Project information may be made available to other authorized users participating in the same project or organization, according to the permissions and access controls applicable to that project.
Usage and Technical Information

Camera
Buildster may request access to your device's camera when you choose to take photographs or capture images for use within a Buildster project.
Camera access is used only when required to provide features that involve capturing images or other visual project information.
Photos, Media, and Files
Buildster may request access to photographs, media, files, or documents stored on your device when you choose to upload or attach them to a project.
This may include photographs, construction drawings, plans, documents, and other project-related files selected by you.
Buildster does not access photographs, media, or files on your device except as permitted by your device's operating system and as necessary to provide the functionality you request.
Contacts
Buildster may request access to contacts stored on your device when you choose to invite people to participate in a Buildster project.
For example, a project manager may choose to use their device's contact list to select people they would like to invite to a project rather than entering their contact information manually.
Buildster uses contact information selected by the user only for the purpose of facilitating the requested invitation or related project functionality. Buildster does not use device contact information for advertising purposes.
Access to your contacts is optional. If you do not grant contact permission, you may still invite people by using other invitation methods available within the Service.
Notifications
Buildster may request permission to send notifications to your device.
Notifications may be used to provide information about project activity, messages, actions requiring your attention, changes to information relevant to you, or other service-related events.
You can control notification permissions through your device settings.
Permission Control
Mobile operating systems allow you to review and control permissions granted to applications. You may deny or revoke certain permissions through your device settings.
If you deny or revoke a permission, features that depend on that permission may not function, but other portions of the Service may remain available.
Buildster uses device permissions only for purposes related to providing, securing, supporting, or improving the functionality of the Service. We do not use device permissions to access information unrelated to the functionality provided by Buildster.

- provide access to projects and project information;
- enable collaboration between authorized project participants;

Project Participants and Organizations
Buildster is designed to enable collaboration between users involved in construction projects.
Information submitted to a project may therefore be accessible to other authorized users of that project or organization according to their roles, permissions, and access rights.
Users should consider the collaborative nature of the Service when uploading project content.
Service Providers
We may use third-party service providers to help us operate and provide the Service. These providers may perform functions such as:
- cloud hosting and data storage;
- email and communications delivery;
- application notifications;
- system monitoring and diagnostics;

Information transmitted between Buildster applications and our systems is protected using encrypted network connections where appropriate. Access to project and account information is restricted based on authentication, authorization, and applicable project permissions.
No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. While we take reasonable measures to protect information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
Buildster retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain user accounts, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal and contractual obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and enforce our agreements.
Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the information and the context in which it was collected.
Buildster is a collaborative business platform, and information associated with a construction project may form part of the business records of a project or organization. Project records may therefore need to remain available after an individual user leaves a project, leaves an organization, or deletes their Buildster account.
Where project or business records must be retained after deletion of a user's account, Buildster may retain those records while removing or limiting personal identifiers associated with the former user where reasonably practicable and appropriate.
We may also retain information where required by law or where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.
When information is no longer reasonably required for the purposes for which it was retained, we will delete or anonymize it in accordance with our applicable retention practices.
Account and Personal Information Deletion
Users may request deletion of their Buildster account and associated personal information.

We may take reasonable steps to verify the identity of the person making the request before processing it.
Following a valid deletion request, Buildster will delete or anonymize personal information associated with the account where it is no longer required for the operation of the Service or for another legitimate purpose.
Deleting an individual user's account does not necessarily result in deletion of project records that belong to, or are required by, an organization, customer, project, or other authorized project participants.
For example, construction drawings, inspection records, project photographs, annotations, comments, or other project records may need to remain available as part of the project's historical or business record. Where appropriate, Buildster may remove or anonymize the former user's personal identifiers while retaining the underlying project record.
Certain information may also be retained where necessary to comply with legal or contractual obligations, protect the security and integrity of the Service, prevent fraud or misuse, resolve disputes, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to request:
- access to personal information we maintain about you;
- correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
- deletion of personal information;
- information about how your personal information is used or disclosed; or
- withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent.

The Service is intended for business and professional use and is not directed to children under the age of 18.
