Creating a project

Things to consider when creating your projects:

Buildster is a communication platform that allows you to use your blueprints as a collaboration map. Take a moment and think about which blueprint pages you rely on the most. Select whichever pages you want, and don't worry, you can add/remove pages at any time after your project is created.

  1. Make sure you can access your .pdf plans from your device
  2. Login and press “New” from your home screen
  3. Enter a project name (required) and address (optional)
    • The address will be shared with the people you invite to your project.
  4. Press upload .pdf plans and select your .pdf file
    Select the pages you want in your project
    The first page will automatically be selected as your cover image.
  5. Select all, or tap the pages you want to add.
    • Tap the orange “expand” button on the bottom of each page to view larger
  6. Tap Preview project
    • Note that your first page is selected as your cover image. Tap “Edit” if you want to crop it or select a new one from a file or your gallery.
    • Tap the back arrow if you’d like to edit your page selection
    • Tap “Create Project”
    • You will see your pages being uploaded. Time will depend on the number of pages.
    • Once complete, you will be brought to “Home” where you’ll see your project.

  2. Go to https://app.buildsterapp.com/login, login and press “New project” from your home screen
  3. Enter a project name (required) and address (optional)
    • The address will be shared with the people you invite to your project.
  4. Select “Choose .pdf files” and select your file, or drag and drop your file into the area labelled “Drop files here”
    • Wait for your preview to be generated. Larger files take more time. 
  5. Select the pages you want in your project
    • Toggle the 3 orange buttons “Pages Across” to view the pages in different sizes. 
    • The first page is automatically selected as your cover image (on the top right).  Hover over and select “edit” if you’d like to crop it or upload a new image from a file.
    • Select all, or tap the pages you want to add. You’ll see them appear on the right side of your screen.  Hover hover to remove. 
    • Once you have your pages selected press the orange “Create Project” button  on the right side of the screen
    • Wait time will depend on the number of pages you selected.  Once complete you will be directed to your home screen and see your project.
