Commenting and adding followers to pins

Once a pin is created it becomes a collaboration point that can be added to if desired. Think of it like a text message that's pinned onto your plan.

Adding a comment.

When you add your comment and tap send, Buildster will notify any and all other people who are following or assigned to the pin.

  1. Enter a project that you own or manage and enter into a plan page
  2. Find the pin you want to comment on
  3. Tap it, and a comment box will appear on the bottom of your screen.  
  4. Add your comment and press send
  5. If you want to add a picture, press the paperclip icon in the comment text box and select a photo
  6. If you want to see who is following a pin, tap the pin so the detail preview pops up on the bottom of your screen
    • Swipe it up to reveal more, and look on the right sed right above the photo, or photo placeholder. If there are followers, it will say (number of) followers. You can tap that text to reveal who is following the pin
    • If there is no text there, it means there are no followers on that pin. 

  1. Enter a project that you own or manage and enter into a plan page
  2. Find the pin you want to comment on
  3. Click the pin or the list card on the right to display the details of the pin 
  4. At the bottom of the pin details add your comment and press send
  5. If you want to add a picture, press the paperclip icon in the comment text box and select a photo from your computer

Adding additional followers to a pin

  1. When adding a comment to a pin, simply type the @ symbol and a list of team members will appear for you to choose from

    2. Note: Permissions for other project members to add followers to a pin follows the same logic as their permissions to message others in your Buildster project. For example:

    • ‘Visible’ Project members can add other ‘visible’ project members as followers.
    • ‘Hidden’ project members can only add ‘Owners and Managers’ as followers.

  1. When adding a comment to a pin, simply type the @ symbol and a list of team members will appear for you to choose from
  2. If you want to see who is following a pin, Click the pin so the detail preview shows on the right side
    • Near the top, just over where you see your original comment listed, you will see the number of followers listed. Click the text to reveal who is following the pin
    • If there is no text there, it means there are no followers on that pin
